As a reminder, this workshop is required! No official will be eligible for any assignments at any level (regular season or tournament contests) without participating in the workshop. Similar workshops, like the NFHS course, will not be accepted. This is a one-time-only requirement - it will not be a seasonal or annual requirement. If you took the workshop previously, you do not need to take it again.
Mercy rule applies to Middlesex and Skylands conferences at both Varsity and Sub-Varsity levels. At, or after, the 20-minute mark of the 2nd half with 6 goal lead or more, then game is immediately over.
Middlesex Sub-Varsity is the same except applies to a 7 or more goal differential.
As discussed in the recent RVSOA meeting, we are reporting ALL misconducts (yellow and red cards) through a simple form that can be accessed HERE. This includes all varsity and sub-varsity games.
NOTE: This is not a substitute for NJSIAA DQ Reporting procedures.
We are in tournament season and games may require a winner after ending regulation time in a tie. Procedures for deciding tie games is included in the NJSIAA Soccer Modifications on page 4.
